Last Bell Studio will stay free. If the community can cover what the site would reasonably earn from advertising, the goal is to keep the classroom experience as clean and ad-free as possible.

The annual target is based on projected yearly ad revenue plus approximately 20% to cover processing fees and a small buffer. Reaching the goal does not unlock paid features — the site remains free either way.
The games and teacher tools are not placed behind a subscription or classroom account wall.
Support helps reduce the pressure to place advertising inside the actual classroom interfaces.
Support reminders are intentionally rare. The site only marks a handful of meaningful-use milestones on your own browser.
